Jose A. Torres, MDDr. Torres joined West Orange Orthopaedics in 1999. He attended the University of Puerto Rico, and then transferred to Cornell University. He received a Bachelor's degree in science from Cornell University and a Master's Degree in Biochemical Genetics from Roswell Park Memorial Institute in Buffalo, New York. He then attended The John Hopkins University School of Medicine where he received his Doctor of Medicine. After completing an internship in general surgery, he completed his Orthopaedic Residency at The John Hopkins Hospital, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He received his Fellowship from University of Florida, Gainesville, FL in Hand and Microvascular.
Dr. Torres is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. His areas of specialized experience include General Orthopaedic Surgery, Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery, Joint Replacement, and Mako Robotic Surgery.
Dr. Torres is a former Chief of Surgery Elect and former Chief of Surgery at Health Central Hospital. He is married with one child and enjoys playing golf.
