Jose A. Torres, MDDr. Torres joined West Orange Orthopaedics in 1999. He is practicing in our Ocoee and Orlando locations. Dr. Torres attended the University of Puerto Rico, then transferred to Cornell University. He received a Bachelor's degree in science from Cornell University and a Master's Degree in Biochemical Genetics from Roswell Park Memorial Institute in Buffalo, New York. He then attended The John Hopkins University School of Medicine where he received his Doctor of Medicine. After completing an internship in general surgery, he completed his Orthopaedic Residency at The John Hopkins Hospital, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He received his Fellowship from University of Florida, Gainesville, FL in Hand and Micro vascular. He was previously associated with Orlando Hand Surgery Associates and Matthews Orthopaedic.
Dr. Torres is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. His areas of specialized experience include surgery of the hand, elbow, and shoulder.
Dr. Torres is a Diplomate of American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Fellow of American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and a member of the American Medical Association, and Pan-American Medical Society. He is currently serving as Chief of Surgery Elect at Health Central Hospital.
Dr. Torres is married with one child. Dr. Torres enjoys playing golf.
