Matthew D. Hurbanis, MDDr. Hurbanis joined West Orange Orthopaedics in 2004. He practices general orthopaedic surgery and specializes in Sports Medicine, arthroscopy, and shoulder and knee surgery.
Dr. Hurbanis attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. He played football for the Florida Gators on an athletic scholarship under Coach Steve Spurrier. He obtained his Bachelor of Science with high honors. Dr. Hurbanis received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida.
He completed his internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery at Orlando Regional Medical Center. He was Chief Orthopaedic Resident. He obtained his Fellowship training in arthroscopy and Sports Medicine from The Bone and Joint Institute and The University of Cincinnati of Cincinnati, Ohio. He was an associate physician for the Cincinnati Bengals and University of Cincinnati Bearcats.
Dr. Hurbanis is a member of American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy Association of North American, and American Medical Association. Served as Chief of Surgery from 2008 to 2009 at Health Central Hospital. Served as Chief of Surgery-Elect at Health Central Hospital from 2007-2008.
Dr. Hurbanis is a team physician for The First Academy, West Orange High School and Wekiva High School.
Dr. Hurbanis is married with three children and enjoys exercise, football, fishing, and water sports.
